This spectacular Old European Cut Diamond solitaire offers all the glamour and dazzle you'd expect from an original Art Deco ring. The central Diamond is a real showstopper with a plump high crown and chunky wide facets, they certainly don't cut them like this any more! Secured in a pretty eight claw basket setting with three Single Cut Diamonds to each shoulder.
Made in Platinum and stamped to the band.
The central Old European Cut Diamond has been calculated in the setting and is estimated to weigh 2.15 Carat. 8.1mm x 8.1mm x 5.2mm. The stone is totally eye clean under the loupe with no internal inclusions, with very minor marks to the girdle which doesn't affect the stone in any way and can only be seen under 10x magnification. Therefore grading at SI1/2 Clarity. The Diamond is a beautiful M/N Colour and facing up white with a gorgeous warmth of colour from the side. Almost a very light lemon colour in daylight, Old Cut Diamonds were not graded for whiteness at the time they were produced, a slight tinge of colour was more desirable which really comes to life in candlelight!
The shoulder Diamonds total approximately 0.06 Carat.
The ring would make the most gorgeous engagement ring for any vintage lover, classic in style with the charm and sparkle only offered by an Old Cut Diamond.
